About the role

Role: Patient Administrator - Endoscopy
Hours: Full time (37.5 hours per week, 4 days)
Working Pattern: Flexible between 8am–6pm, Monday to Sunday, based on service needs
Contract: Fixed term until 31st December

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Administrator to join our Endoscopy team in Ipswich. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering a professional, patient-focused experience throughout the diagnostic pathway. Working alongside clinical colleagues in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will also provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our endoscopy services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm, professional first point of contact for patients, supporting them from arrival through to departure
  • Manage telephone and face-to-face enquiries efficiently, prioritising queries and providing accurate information
  • Book clinically validated appointments in line with priority and service requirements
  • Track and distribute imaging data and reports, ensuring timely delivery to referrers in line with performance targets
  • Support the management team with month-end administrative processes
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, processing payments on the day and maintaining accurate financial records

About You

  • Experience working in a customer-facing or patient-focused environment
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and a range of IT systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multi-skilled team

* This includes colleagues delivering face to face patient care in the Targeted Lung Health Check mobile units, Endoscopy, AAA Screening, Breast Screening, PET-CT, Audiology, Mobiles, Imaging Centres and CDC’s. Note that this payment is not applicable to clinical staff working within the Echocardiography division, or Diabetic Eye Screening. The Weekend Payment does not apply to those on a flexible working agreement and part time workers that have requested to work weekend hours/days as part of their working agreement. The Weekend Payment also doesn’t apply to those who are working remotely or carrying out administrative work from home.
