📍 Location: Jarvis Breast Screening Centre, Guildford / Surrey & NE Hampshire
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

As Deputy Superintendent and Lead QA Mammographer, you will take a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of imaging quality, supporting the delivery of the NHS Breast Screening Programme, and leading a team across our static and mobile units.

About the Role

You will:

✔ Provide clinical and operational leadership as part of the Senior Management Team and deputise for the Superintendent
✔ Lead on quality assurance (QA) protocols and processes to ensure high imaging standards
✔ Monitor technical performance, including recall rates and repeat examinations, and implement improvement plans
✔ Perform high-quality mammograms and support assessment clinics, including stereotactic biopsies
✔ Conduct quality control (QC) checks on mammography and ultrasound equipment
✔ Assist in training and developing Assistant Practitioners, Trainee Mammographers, and Apprentices
✔ Manage audits, equipment faults, and compliance with NHSBSP guidelines
✔ Cover mobile screening units as required, supporting communities across Surrey and NE Hampshire

What You’ll Need

✅ BSc in Radiography or equivalent

✅ HCPC registration

✅ Certificate of Competence in Mammography; Postgraduate qualification in Mammography desirable

✅ Proven leadership experience in a clinical setting

Expertise in QA processes, mammography technology, and NHSBSP standards

✅ Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
