Be the reassuring voice at the start of someone’s healthcare journey.
At InHealth, we see more than 5 million patients every year. Diagnostic imaging is one of our busiest and most vital services — and behind every appointment is an Administrator making sure everything runs smoothly.
We’re looking for a compassionate, organised and proactive Patient Administrator to join our friendly team at the North & East Devon Breast Screening Service in Exeter.
Our service supports around 90,000 women across a 3-year screening round, delivering essential community screening and assessment from our static unit in Marsh Barton. This is a role where your organisation, empathy and attention to detail genuinely make a difference.
💙 What You’ll Be Doing
As a key part of our administrative team, you’ll help ensure every client feels informed, supported and cared for — from first contact to appointment completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
-
Managing the Breast Screening appointment booking line, handling telephone and in-person enquiries with professionalism and care
-
Monitoring and responding to email correspondence, arranging and confirming appointments
-
Updating bookings and client records using NBSS and Breast Screening Select systems
-
Maintaining waiting lists and scheduling appointments efficiently
-
Preparing clinic documentation and auditing returned clinical data
-
Requesting previous screening imaging via the Image Exchange Portal
-
Completing weekly data accuracy reports in line with the Right Results Pathway
-
Providing cross-cover during colleague absence
-
Supporting governance activities, audits and team development
-
Ensuring confidentiality, ISO information security compliance and accurate electronic filing
You’ll be working alongside clinical and non-clinical colleagues, Consultant Radiologists, GPs and the Host NHS Trust — making you an essential link in a wider multidisciplinary team.

Has a positive, proactive approach to customer service
