About The Role

As a Principal Reporting Analyst, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality, timely and accurate reporting and data insights that enable InHealth to operate effectively and make informed decisions. You will sit at the heart of our data landscape, working across Operations, Clinical, Finance, HR and Shared Services to turn complex data into meaningful, trusted information.

You will be a recognised subject matter expert, trusted by colleagues at all levels to advise on data, reporting and analysis. Your ability to combine strong technical expertise with a deep understanding of the business will allow you to clearly explain what the data means, influence system and process decisions, and ensure data is used responsibly and effectively across the organisation.

What you will do

Reporting and analysis at this level requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organisation and a clear understanding of InHealth’s operational and clinical environment. On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Plan, coordinate and manage the pipeline of reporting and data requests, balancing ad-hoc demands with scheduled and automated outputs

  • Ensure timely and effective responses to data queries, discrepancies and reporting issues

  • Oversee and maintain high-quality documentation to support transparency, continuity and issue resolution

  • Act as the data and reporting subject matter expert on business-wide projects, particularly system selection and implementation

  • Lead deep-dive investigations into complex data issues and oversee quality assurance of team outputs

  • Ensure robust data quality controls, audits, feedback loops and sign-off processes are embedded in all reporting activities

  • Protect the integrity and appropriate use of data, including regular permission reviews and compliance with data protection requirements

  • Communicate progress, risks, issues and insights clearly to stakeholders and senior management

  • Manage, coach and develop the reporting team, supporting both professional growth and day-to-day operational needs

  • Ensure alignment with national and sector developments, including NHS Digital and NHS England data requirements

About you

You are highly organised, analytical and trusted for your judgement. You take pride in precision, thrive on solving complex data problems, and enjoy working collaboratively across a large organisation. Colleagues see you as calm, reliable and approachable, with the ability to explain complex information in a way that makes sense.

You will bring:

  • Extensive experience in data, reporting, business intelligence and analytics (5+ years), ideally within a healthcare environment

  • A strong track record of delivering high-quality reporting and insight in time-critical or high-pressure settings

  • Good knowledge of NHS data systems and processes, including national data returns and Secondary Uses Service

  • Experience working with senior leaders, Executives and C-suite stakeholders, confidently influencing decision-making

  • Strong data governance and data quality expertise, with a clear understanding of controls, risk and compliance

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across the business

  • Experience or knowledge of diagnostic and imaging services (e.g. MRI, CT, screening or radiology) is highly desirable

You will also align strongly with InHealth’s values, demonstrating high standards, integrity, collaboration and a genuine commitment to making healthcare better for all.
