📍 Location: Romford-based, plus mobile and static units across Outer North East London
💷 Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience
🕒 Hours: 22.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible working options considered)

Are you ready to bring your expertise in mammography to a role where your work truly matters? We’re looking for a skilled and compassionate Mammographer to join our dedicated Breast Screening team in Outer North East London.

You’ll be at the forefront of early detection and patient care, delivering high-quality imaging services and supporting vital assessment clinics, including stereotactic biopsies. Working across both static and mobile units, you’ll play a key role in reaching and supporting women in our communities. 💗

 

👩‍⚕️ What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering high-quality mammograms to support the early detection of breast cancer

  • Participating in biopsy procedures and assessment clinics

  • Supporting and mentoring Assistant Practitioners in their development

  • Assisting with the movement and setup of mobile breast screening vans 🚌

  • Creating a professional, calm, and reassuring environment for all patients 💬

 

🛠️ You’ll Also Be:

  • Confidently operating all mammography equipment and systems

  • Contributing to our Quality Assurance programmes and acting on any issues

  • Keeping your CPD portfolio current and staying informed about industry advances 📚

  • Managing stock and logistics for mobile screening sites

  • Handling patient data and clinical records with the utmost care and confidentiality 🔐

 

🙌 What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified Mammographer (BSc in Radiography & PG Cert in Mammography)

  • HCPC registration

  • Experience in both static and mobile breast screening environments

  • Confident in using IT systems (including Microsoft packages) 💻

  • A natural team player who’s empathetic, professional, and calm under pressure

  • A strong communicator who handles sensitive situations with kindness and care 💞
