About the role

Flexible Part-Time Opportunity

2 Days Per Week | 8:00am – 6:00pm Shifts | Monday–Sunday Flexibility Required

  We are looking for a Patient Administrator to join our Endoscopy team on a part time basis, at our Endoscopy unit in Birmingham. As a Patient Administrator with InHealth, you will ensure our patients receive a professional and patient focused service throughout their diagnostic pathway. Working alongside your clinical colleagues in a dynamic, fast paced environment, you will also provide administrative support for the endoscopy services we provide.

What you will do:

  • Providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact for all patients, coordinating their arrival through to departure
  • Dealing with telephone and direct enquiries in a prompt and effective manner, ensuring the provision of information and prioritisation of queries as appropriate
  • Ensuring that clinically validated appointments are booked appropriately and according to clinical priority on the appointments system
  • Tracking and distributing imaging data and reports to referrers, ensuring that results are dispatched in line with clinical priority and contractual performance indicators
  • Assisting in the completion of month end administrative procedures for the management team
  • Ensuring all patients are invoiced promptly and accurately and that payment is taken on the day, recorded, and banked promptly

About you:

  • Experienced working in a customer or patient focused environment
  • Confident using Microsoft packages and other IT systems
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a multi skilled team

* This includes colleagues delivering face to face patient care in the Targeted Lung Health Check mobile units, Endoscopy, AAA Screening, Breast Screening, PET-CT, Audiology, Mobiles, Imaging Centres and CDC’s. Note that this payment is not applicable to clinical staff working within the Echocardiography division, or Diabetic Eye Screening. The Weekend Payment does not apply to those on a flexible working agreement and part time workers that have requested to work weekend hours/days as part of their working agreement. The Weekend Payment also doesn’t apply to those who are working remotely or carrying out administrative work from home.
