Role: Programme Team Leader

Location: North Manchester - you will support our Greater Manchester North DESP team. You will predominantly support our teams in, Rochdale & Bury, may also be required to provide cover across other locations, including Wigan, Bolton, and Oldham.

At InHealth, we’re proud to support Diabetic Eye Screening Programmes across NHS England. Since 2011, we’ve expanded our services nationwide and developed our own bespoke software system to help our teams deliver outstanding care and an excellent user experience.

We’re now looking for a Programme Team Leader to join our North Manchester DESP team. If you’re passionate about leading people, improving patient care and creating a supportive, high‑performing team environment, this could be your next step.

The role will include working from our clinics, programme office, and some home working. 
 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading, motivating and supporting the screening and grading team
  • Coaching and mentoring colleagues as they complete the Level 3 Diploma for Health Screeners
  • Ensuring every clinic delivers safe, high‑quality, patient‑focused care
  • Helping to organise screening and grading schedules, including staff rotas
  • Working closely with the Programme Manager to ensure clinic and grading coverage
  • Monitoring venues to maintain excellent clinical and operational standards
  • Encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork
  • Using a proactive, solution‑focused approach to daily challenges
  • Overseeing compliance across the Programme and supporting where needed

About you:

  • Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Diploma or Level 3 Diploma for Health Screeners
  • GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong listening skills
  • Confidence with numbers and data
  • Good organisational and training abilities
  • Ability to prioritise your own workload and guide others to do the same
  • Grading performance that meets Internal Quality Assurance standards
