About The Role

Practicing Privileges ENT Doctor: GP with Special Interest – Manchester & Southampton

Location: Manchester (NWCATS) and Southampton ENT Services
Contract: Practicing Privileges / Flexible sessions

We are now seeking a GP with a Special Interest (GPSI) in ENT to join our expert team across Manchester and Southampton.

The Role:
As an ENT GPSI, you will provide clinical assessment and treatment for patients with ENT conditions such as impacted wax, epistaxis, sinusitis, recurrent tonsillitis, and more. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team—including audiologists, ENT colleagues, and operations staff—to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care.

You will also:

  • Carry out independent clinical sessions at community-based clinics.

  • Undertake appropriate investigations, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and onward referrals.

  • Participate in MDT meetings and support clinical governance initiatives.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to professional, safety, and confidentiality standards.

  • Contribute to the training, mentoring, and professional development of colleagues.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Inclusion on the GMC Register.

  • Primary medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent) and 3+ years post-qualification experience.

  • Registered as a principal in General Practice.

  • At least 6 months ENT clinic experience under consultant supervision (minimum 1 clinic/month or 50 outpatient consultations).

  • Proven ENT clinical skills including ear, nose, throat examinations, microsuction, foreign body removal, audiogram interpretation, flexible nasendoscopy, and laryngoscopy.

  • Experience working in hospital or mobile settings within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Eligibility to drive in the UK (for mobile roles).
