About The Role

Target opening date: December

We are looking for a Patient Administrator to join our Endoscopy team on a full time permanent basis (x4 shifts a week, 8am - 6pm, Monday to Sunday), at our brand new Community Diagnostic Centre in Cornwall. As a Patient Admin with InHealth, you will ensure our patients receive a professional and patient focused service throughout their diagnostic pathway. Working alongside your clinical colleagues in a dynamic, fast paced environment, you will also provide administrative support for the endoscopy services we provide.

  

What you will do:

  • Providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact for all patients, coordinating their arrival through to departure
  • General administrative duties to support the unit team such as scanning documents, preparing patient notes and updating patient administration systems with accurate information relating to patient appointments
  • Dealing with telephone and direct enquiries in a prompt and effective manner, ensuring the provision of information and prioritisation of queries as appropriate
  • Tracking and distributing reports to referrers, ensuring that results are dispatched in line with timescales
  • Working with the wider operational team and the booking service to resolve queries and ensure the best patient experience at all times.

About you:

  • Experienced working in a customer or patient focused environment
  • Confident using Microsoft packages and other IT systems
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a multi skilled team

* This includes colleagues delivering face to face patient care in the Targeted Lung Health Check mobile units, Endoscopy, AAA Screening, Breast Screening, PET-CT, Audiology, Mobiles, Imaging Centres and CDC’s. Note that this payment is not applicable to clinical staff working within the Echocardiography division, or Diabetic Eye Screening. The Weekend Payment does not apply to those on a flexible working agreement and part time workers that have requested to work weekend hours/days as part of their working agreement. The Weekend Payment also doesn’t apply to those who are working remotely or carrying out administrative work from home.
